Meet Nat Schorer, the creative force behind Wild Flos, a Melbourne-based floral design studio that’s all about bold blooms and contemporary romance.

Specialising in creating luxuriously textured floral pieces, Wild Flos is the go-to for weddings, corporate events, heartfelt gifts, or even just sprucing up your space with some wild beauty.

Nat’s designs are for the dreamers and the romantics—the ones who crave daring colour palettes and uniquely crafted arrangements that feel personal and alive.

Whether it’s a grand wedding centerpiece or a thoughtfully wrapped bouquet for a friend, Wild Flos promises an artful touch and an explosion of modern florals.

We recently caught up with Nat to chat about her life as a florist, her creative process, and the magic behind her vibrant creations.

What does a day in your life look like for you?

My alarm goes off at 2:15am, so I can be at the market at 3:15am, where we're purchasing flowers for all of our weddings, events, online orders and any other special projects.

Then I'm normally dying for coffee, so then it's a coffee break - generally Market Lane in Carlton. Then back to the warehouse to unload with the team, splitting the flowers into the weddings and events we have, and all the flower conditioning happens - so it’s really go go go and lots of hustling. Then we really need to sit down for lunch time.

It depends on the day of the week, generally the above is a Thursday, so then we’ll get straight into prepping for our events. Depending on if its a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it’s all about looking after the flowers and making sure they’re opening on the right days in regards to what events are on.

Thursdays can be a really really long day, prepping and making sure everything is organized for the weekend ahead.

What is the best thing about being a Florist?

Being part of people’s life milestones - weddings, anniversaries, babies, deaths, marriages, the whole lot. It’s really nice to be involved in a client that continually comes back and that you become part of their family and all those special moments in life. But also nature and beauty, and all the beautiful things we get to ‘play with’ and all the amazing flowers we get to work with from local and international growers as well, it’s pretty special.

What is your favourite flower?

My favourite flower is a Hydrangea. I joke that I only work in Hydrangea season, and forever chasing hydrangea stems.
